Manga UK have recently confirmed this week via there Twitter feed that (Rebuild Of) Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 30th 2011, and that a special "packaging" edition may be released exclusively to HMV like last years Evangelion 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone Blu-Ray set - which contained a carded sleeve, arttcards and a little booklet.
In Evangelion 2.22 NERV is Under constant attack by Angels, so NERV introduces two new pilots: the mysterious Mari Makinami Illustrious and the intense Asuka Langley Shikinami. Parallel to the incursion, Gendo Ikari and SEELE proceed the secret project that involves both Rei and Shinji, But only time will tell on what this "Secret project" actually is.
Evangelion 2.22 will shortly be available for pre-order from HMV UK, Play UK & Amazon UK - as well as various other online retailers - but as it stands the Release date for it is Monday 30th May 2011 (so mark it down in your calender), so in the mean time check out this English Evangelion 2.22 Trailer.
